As a best practice, it is recommended that oils must be filtered while these are being transferred from one container or machine to another. Doing so can improve cleanliness of lubricants with just a single pass. The expected level of cleanliness can also be achieved by using filters with a beta ratio greater than 200 at the right micron size.
